I have a question: how many ethernet ports should a modem have to support Airport Time Capsule?
AirPort Time Capsule-OTHER, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

At least one will be needed to connect to the Time Capsule, but more is OK.....depending on the type of modem that you might have......even though you will only use one of them.
